Brides A La Mode Closing

Tuesday, February 7th, 2012

As you can see in the image to the left, the BAM sign still says closed for inventory & remodeling but “reopening 2.15? and “open Saturdays 11-1? has been added. We don’t know if this is “good news” or a delaying tactic by the owner. A look through the windows revealed again, that absolutely nothing has changed about the appearance of the building since the doors were first closed, no remodeling has been done for nearly the two weeks since the closing.  No appearance of people doing inventory.

We have seen a few brides post thinking that “Open Saturdays 11-1? means they will be open this coming Saturday, before the 2/15 “reopening”. We aren’t convinced that it means that. But we will be checking to see if the doors are unlocked on this coming Saturday and let you know.

In our opinion, we wouldn’t recommend doing business with this gown shop, if it does reopen. Whatever the real reason is for this store closing, the wedding gown is too important to South Bend brides, to risk their money on at a poorly managed store. There are several reputable wedding gown shops with longer stable histories in the Michiana area to shop: Bernardo’s for the Bride, Greta’s both of which are in South Bend, Stephenson’s in Elkhart and Treats in Plymouth.

Allure Films has released some images from the Bridal Spectacular Fashion show and there were some fantastic wedding  gowns in it. Check them out!

I love this bridesmaid dress. Very simple and elegant you could easily wear this to a party or for a night out on the town.
