Basilica Monday was last week at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of Notre Dame University and all the lucky brides and grooms who got their dates should be neck deep in planning their 2013 wedding day! To help with Notre Dame Wedding Planning, here is some wedding day inspiration from wedding planner Cynthia Basker of Celebrated Events in South Bend and the wedding of Mary & Michael.

The check out the gorgeous floral by Michaelangelos “The Event Company”! There are many good florists in the South Bend area, but Michaelangelos’ work is always exceptional. Check out the latest issue of Veils & Vows for their inspiring photo shoot in the spring issue on pages 42 to 53.

According to wedding planner Cynthia Basker: Throughout the planning process, the mantra was ‘soft, summery and romantic’, and I think we most decidedly accomplished that feel. The day was full of meaningful details and family traditions. Among them, the soup course at dinner: Italian Wedding Soup – made from a family recipe, handed down from mother to daughter on the bride’s side. The Groom’s aunts lovingly made and brought with them, traditional Italian cookies, which the guests enjoyed after dinner. The day was so joyful – can’t you see it on their faces?

It is Basilica Monday for brides and their grooms, desiring to get married at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of Notre Dame. This is the day when the Basilica opens the books for 2013 to begin scheduling 2013 Notre Dame Weddings for alumni. Brides, grooms and their families start calling early morning and prime wedding dates are usually gone by early afternoon.

Check out this absolutely gorgeous wedding and reception in South Bend, overseen by wedding planner extraordinaire Cynthia Basker from Celebrated Events! So gorgeous!

Mark & Molly were married at the Notre Dame Basilica o the Sacred Heart, with the reception following at the Palais Royale in downtown South Bend.

They also had a photo booth from Fun Zone Photo Booths. I love the fun you can have in a photo booth.
